Hoa Lo Prision ( Hanoi Hilton )

We visited the Hoa Lo Prison in Hanoi. Our POWS called this place the Hanoi Hilton. The French built the prison in 1896 and it was called Maison Central or Prision in the center as it is in downtown Hanoi. It is now mostly a museum dedicated to the cruel treatment of the Vietnamese by the French. There is one area full of propaganda about our POWs being held there and how well they were treated. The outer walls are topped with glass shards.
